Please, feel free to leave your own version 🙂
In 2050, we will no longer use diesel engines. Nuclear power plants will be safer and renewable energies will be used a lot. All means of transportation (cars, bus, trains, boats, planes) will be electric. And for a short trip, for example a few kilometers, carriage horses will reappear.
Many robots will help us. Every family will have several robots: tor cook, garden, do the housework, watch over the children… All the dangerous and meticulous tasks in factories will be done by robots.
People won’t eat meat any more: they will eat vegetables, fruits, cereals, eggs and… many insects! People already eat insects in Asia and at the moment insects are beginning to be in fashion. We won’t breed cattle anymore, but a lot of insects!
Our clothes will be adaptable: for example, if the weather gets windy and cold, they will automatically get warmer…
I’m not sure life will be more beautiful in 2050… Maybe! Why not?
What about jobs in the future …
Even now, we can see automatic checkouts in supermarkets , automatic operators in banks , badges for motorways ; and instead of human contacts, we can carry out with machines a lot of operations which used to be done by a worker. In the future, I am afraid this trend will become a generality.
So, in factories we will see robots manufacturing cars, domestic devices, clothes without the need of human intervention from the beginning to the end ;
In the fields, machines will plant vegetables or trees and take care of them during their growth. Harvesting will be done by another type of machine.
We can imagine the whole food assembly line will be realized without work force: transportation, processing, packaging, etc.; customers will buy everything they need online, and some other robots will bring it to their house.
In medicine, special IRM and biological tests will diagnose diseases and robot nurses will treat patients.
At the same time, human population will reach nine billions. We can ask ourselves : what will all these people do? We have never had on the earth so many people and we will never need so few of them for basic tasks.
In an ideal world, perhaps a lot of them, released from basic tasks, will use this opportunity to create in the field of art, literature, human relation ship, science and of course they have to imagine news kinds of robots.
On the worst part, they’ll be unemployed and idle, lost in the emptiness of their life. And in this prospect, we can fear of wars, violence , despairs and all the dark side of humanity will come out.
The past doesn’t teach us to be optimistic.
What do I think about the future?
Well, I’m going to say what I hope for the future, because nobody can be sure about tomorrow.
In a close future, scientists will find treatments against most of the deadly diseases.
Humans will live older and will get a better health. Unfortunately, I think it will be true only for rich people.
The means of communication will be easier and faster than the ones we know. (Maybe, we will be able to learn English in one week…) Everything goes fast and I wish it would go the right way.
I hope we will drive only eco-cars and will find how to leave a cleaner earth to our children.
I hope too we will find a way to feed people who will suffer from famine.
Currently, we know the means to improve our future but money is so important!… And we don’t know how to use it with intelligence.
I really would like people to open their eyes to see how lucky they are to live on this earth. They should stop wanting to change it.
If we don’t stop sawing the branch where we are, we are going to fall !…
Why not chatting about the close future ?
